How long does a temporary tattoo last?
An INKC temporary tattoo typically remains visible for one to two weeks, with a maximum wear time of two weeks. How long your design stays looking good depends on factors such as the placement and your daily activities. Therefore, two weeks is not a fixed guarantee for every tattoo on every skin type.
Are you planning to get a tattoo for a holiday, a party, or to test out a design? It helps to distinguish between application, color development, and wear. Below, you can read what you can expect.
The three phases of your temporary tattoo
1. Application
You apply the design according to the instructions included with your order. This is a quick process, but the color is not yet fully developed afterward. An almost invisible tattoo immediately after application does not automatically mean that something went wrong.
2. Color development
With INKC jagua tattoos, the color usually develops within 12 to 24 hours. The final shade can range from dark blue to black. Please wait until the tattoo has had time to become visible before judging the result.
3. Wear and fading
After development, you wear the design as it gradually fades. The tattoo will not remain equally dark throughout the entire wear period. The fact that a design becomes lighter over time is part of its temporary nature.
Why doesn't a temporary tattoo last the same amount of time everywhere?
The placement on your body makes a difference. INKC notes that tattoos on joints may last for a shorter time. When choosing, think not only about how a design looks but also about how you use that specific area daily.
Do you want to wear a small design near your wrist? Consider carefully whether you want to place it on the joint or slightly further up your forearm. A different placement changes both the appearance and the way you interact with the design in daily life. An exact number of extra days cannot be predicted in advance.
Also, do not compare your results one-to-one with someone else's photo. The placement, the moment the photo was taken, and daily activities can vary. A photo showing the initial dark color is not a prediction of what the design will look like on the final day.
Can you shower, swim, and exercise with a temporary tattoo?
INKC describes developed tattoos as waterproof: you can shower, swim, and exercise with them. This does not mean the color remains identical indefinitely. For the period immediately following application, always follow the included instructions.
Are you planning a tattoo for a beach day or a sports event? Factor the application and color development into your preparations so you don't start at the last minute.
When should you apply a tattoo for a party or holiday?
Allow about a day for color development. Do not apply a jagua tattoo just before you leave if you expect the design to be darkly visible immediately. Read the instructions beforehand and choose a quiet moment.
Trying out a tattoo on a certain spot for the first time? Note when you applied it and take a photo after it has developed. Check later how the design changes. This will give you a practical impression of your experience without expecting every subsequent application to go exactly the same way.
How do you choose a tattoo that fits your plans?
For a subtle accent, you can start with the minimalist tattoos. If you want to experience how a larger design looks on your arm, check out the temporary tattoo sleeves. Choose based on style and dimensions; you cannot infer a longer wear time from the size alone.

Frequently asked questions about wear time
Does every temporary tattoo last exactly fourteen days?
No. INKC tattoos have a wear time of up to two weeks. The placement and your activities influence the result.
My tattoo is very light immediately after application. Is it already fading?
Not necessarily. In the first few hours, the color still needs to develop. First, check how much time has passed since application.
Is waterproof the same as having the same color for two weeks?
No. Water resistance and wear time are different properties. A temporary tattoo fades gradually and does not remain equally dark throughout.
How long can I keep an unused INKC tattoo?
INKC specifies a shelf life of approximately twelve months when stored in a cool, dry place. This is the storage time before use, not the wear time on your skin. Follow any information provided on your packaging.
